Elite-level and developmental teams
playing in nationally-recognized AAU
tournaments. The elementary and middle
school program includes three girls’
teams and 10 boys’ teams. All of our elite-level teams are amongst the top teams in
the nation.
Riverside College Bound (RCB) is an initiative that works
with the Hawks’ male and female student-athletes in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade to ensure they are supported through the college application and recruiting process. The program is based on our belief that basketball can
be used as an effective hook to engage student-athletes from all backgrounds to increase opportunities for college enrollment and success. All teams spend time at a cultural institution and visit colleges
where student-athletes understand that these trips are more valuable than
simply basketball.
Former Riverside Hawks coach Zach Kuba is returning to the Church to lead the Select leg of Riverside’s high school basketball program. Riverside Select will provide support and help place high performing student athletes who aspire to play at the next level at some of the top academic institutions (NESCAC, UAA, etc.) in the country.
As the Head Coach of Riverside Select, Kuba will lead players in this specialized leg of the program through a comprehensive team development model, focused on individual progress as well as regular team practices. The Select team members will be part of Riverside’s College Bound initiative that includes customer academic support sessions and workshops designed to prepare its players for both the athletic and academic rigors of college
